What We Do
Individual student assessments will be performed up front to identify student strengths, opportunities, and learning style.
An individualized plan is created for each student. This includes recommendations for learning at home as well as interventions to be explicitly taught by the reading specialist.

Meet Andi
Andi Simpson has been an elementary school educator for over 15 years, in and around the Los Angeles area.
She loves working with students of all ages and has taught multiple grade levels in the classroom setting.
Most recently, Andi supported kindergarten through fifth grade students and teachers by providing small group Reading Intervention on campus and virtually.
Reading Specialist
In addition to her California State Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Andi is a Certified Reading Specialist and has completed the Comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Training through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education.
Her goal is to support student academic growth through literacy intervention services. She is an experienced Reading Specialist who will evaluate your striving reader and provide individualized support.
Based on students’ needs, she explicitly teaches phonics patterns, comprehension skills, and vocabulary building strategies to improve literacy abilities of all students. Her teaching style adapts to individual students in order to best support your child’s needs.
Love of Reading
Andi has two elementary school children of her own who share her love of reading. They snuggle up to read as a family every night. The kids enjoy fantasy and graphic novels.
They highly recommend the Story Treehouse series by Andy Griffiths and the Wings of Fire series by Tui T. Sutherland.
Andi’s favorite book is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling.
